Softball Recap: Lake Travis Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Lake Travis and East Central squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Lake Travis had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 12-6. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cavaliers, who until this matchup were averaging 3.73 runs allowed.

Madison Pinzon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Haley Whitefield, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Lake Travis and nudges their season record down to 21-11-1. As for East Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 22-11.

As of now, neither Lake Travis nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
