Baseball Recap: Tustin Takes a Loss

If Tustin was feeling good fresh off their 11-5 takedown of Troy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tustin Tillers fell just short of the Sonora Raiders by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tillers of the 13-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Tustin got a good showing from Jeffery Nesmith, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

Tustin's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tustin will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on University at 7:30 p.m. on January 24th. Sonora also won't see the field for a while: their next contest is against Kennedy at 3:00 p.m. on February 18th.
