Softball Game Preview: Havana Ducks vs. Illini Bluffs Tigers

Havana hasn't had much luck against Illini Bluffs recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Ducks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Illini Bluffs will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Havana extended their winning streak to four on Tuesday. Everything went the Ducks' way against Midwest Central/Illini Central as they made off with an 8-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Illini Bluffs never let their opponents score on Wednesday. They blew past Tremont 7-0. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Turks: they've now won three in a row.

Illini Bluffs pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Havana, their victory bumped their record up to 16-2-1.
