Greene County Tech is 9-1 against Marion since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Eagles will head out to face off against the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. Marion took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Greene County Tech, who comes in off a win.

Greene County Tech's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Thursday. Everything went their way against Nettleton as they made off with a 4-0 victory. Considering Greene County Tech have won seven matches by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 7-2 to Batesville. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Marion struggled afterwards.

Jenesis Tate and Reese Goodwin scored both of Marion's goals, bringing their combined season tally to nine goals.

The win made it two in a row for Greene County Tech and bumps their season record up to 9-5-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored nine goals over those two matchups. As for Marion, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Greene County Tech got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April against Marion by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
