Basketball Recap: Kristen Tracy Key Part of a Team Effort in Tigers Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Princeton, Worth County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the North Harrison Shamrocks with a sharp 44-24 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Worth County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kristen Tracy out in front who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. What's more, Tracy also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in February of 2024. Megan Tracy was another key player, going 7 for 17 en route to 14 points and six rebounds.

Worth County's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-10. As for North Harrison, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Worth County and North Harrison could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. Worth County (ranked 398th) will meet Rock Port (ranked 176th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Worth County is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. Similarly, North Harrison will challenge Albany at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th down 228 places (391 vs. 163).
