Baseball Recap: Sultan Has No Trouble Against Orcas Island

Sultan got themselves on the board against Orcas Island on Saturday, but Orcas Island never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Vikings. Considering the Turks have won three contests by more than 14 runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Sultan and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Orcas Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sultan will square off against University Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Sultan is facing University Prep at the right time seeing as University Prep is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Orcas Island, they will challenge Friday Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Friday Harbor's pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so Orcas Island's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
