Basketball Recap: Stamford Comes Up Short

Stamford played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Windsor Warriors 106-70. The Black Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-29.

When it comes to explaining why Stamford lost, don't look at Ryan Connors. Despite the final result, he went 8 of 12 on his way to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Connors a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Sutton, who posted eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.

Stamford now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Windsor, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.

Stamford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 52-48 defeat against Ridgefield on the 30th. Windsor has also already played their next contest, a 79-58 win against Bloomfield on the 28th.
