Volleyball Recap: Shelbyville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Shelbyville waltzed into their match on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Sullivan Redskins. This was a revenge game for the Rams: when they faced off against the Redskins on Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Shelbyville never let Sullivan on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14.

Kylee McDonald paced Shelbyville's offense, picking up eight kills. McDonald got some help from Ava Corley and her 11 assists. Brynly Rice-Delgado controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Shelbyville's victory bumped their record up to 20-8. As for Sullivan, their defeat ended a four-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shelbyville will take on Warrensburg-Latham at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sullivan, they will square off against Oakland/Kansas/Shiloh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
