Berkeley Prep waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Columbus Explorers.

Owen Schmitt tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Berkeley Prep got a massive performance out of Jett Walters, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Lucas Farrar was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Berkeley Prep's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Columbus, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berkeley Prep will face off against Wesley Chapel at 6:30 p.m. on the 27th. As for Columbus, they will challenge Immaculata-La Salle at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
