 Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight  defeat. They lost  12-5 to the Parkway Panthers. Jefferson was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Parkway apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in April of 2022.
  Xach Houx was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-2 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Vinny Murray, who  went 1-for-3 with a  stolen base, two  RBI,  and a  double.
 Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-1. As for Parkway, their win  ended  a  three-game drought at home  and  bumped them up to 4-7.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jefferson will take on Lincolnview at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Lincolnview's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4  runs per game  this season, so Jefferson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parkway, they will be playing at home against New Knoxville at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. New Knoxville is coming into the  contest with five straight  losses on the road,  meaning Parkway will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
