Softball Recap: North Plainfield Has No Trouble Against New Brunswick

North Plainfield barely beat New Brunswick the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Canucks were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over the Zebra on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Canucks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The win made it two in a row for North Plainfield and bumps their season record up to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.5 runs over those games. As for New Brunswick, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.

Looking ahead, North Plainfield will look to defend their home field on Friday against Piscataway Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. As for New Brunswick, they will head out on the road to challenge Dunellen on Friday.
