Volleyball Game Preview: Corinth Warriors vs. Alcorn Central Bears

Corinth hasn't had much luck against Alcorn Central recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Warriors will host the Bears at 6:30 p.m. Corinth will be strutting in after a victory while Alcorn Central will be coming in after a defeat.

On Monday, Corinth made easy work of Biggersville and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won four in a row.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Alcorn Central and Tupelo had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Bears fell just short of the Golden Wave by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. Bears fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Golden Wave since Tuesday.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Alcorn Central sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 18-25, 15-13.

Alcorn Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Corinth, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
