Softball Game Preview: Flanagan Falcons vs. Goleman Gators

The Flanagan Falcons will head out to square off against the Goleman Gators at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Flanagan has given up an average of 12.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Flanagan is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 20-5 to South Broward.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 24 runs the game before, Goleman was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They came up short against American, falling 18-0. The Gators have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Goleman's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Flanagan, the loss was their first on the road , dropping their record down to 4-7.

Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Flanagan has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Goleman struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
