Volleyball Recap: Redondo Union Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Huntington Beach

Redondo Union faced Huntington Beach in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Redondo Union lost 3-0 to Huntington Beach. The Sea Hawks have struggled against the Oilers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

While Redondo Union was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-18, 25-19.

Redondo Union's loss dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Huntington Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redondo Union will face off against Edison at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Huntington Beach, they will head out to square off against Loyola at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
