Softball Game Preview: Gloversville Huskies/Dragons vs. Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks

The Gloversville Huskies/Dragons will face off against the Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Gloversville is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Gloversville couldn't beat Amsterdam on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Huskies/Dragons fell 8-4 to the Rams.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fonda-Fultonville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Canajoharie on Friday.

Fonda-Fultonville let Taylre Watterson and Harper Huckans run wild. Watterson went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double, while Huckans went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Huckans is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Fonda-Fultonville lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The victory got Fonda-Fultonville back to even at 3-3. As for Gloversville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

Gloversville suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Fonda-Fultonville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Huskies/Dragons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
