Veterans was handed a three-goal defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Houston County Bears. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Veterans also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Camren Laris and David Drake scored both of Veterans' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 14 goals.

Veterans' victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Houston County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Veterans and Houston County will both be playing Lee County the next time they take the pitch. The Warhawks will head out to face the Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Bears will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th.
