Softball Recap: Harding Academy Comes Up Short

Harding Academy extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 2-6 in the process. They lost 20-0 to the Northpoint Christian Trojans. That's two games in a row now that the Lions have lost by exactly 20 runs.

As for Northpoint Christian, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 15 matches by seven runs or more this season.

For Northpoint Christian's part, Katy Bobo was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. That home run was Bobo's first of the season. Hannah Bostain was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harding Academy will welcome Memphis East at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northpoint Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Millington Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
