Recap: Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats vs. Northside L Lions

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 78-57 walloping at the hands of Northside L. While losing is never fun, Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Northside L is ranked 82nd).

Northside L was led to victory by JOEY HEASTON and DUKE KARNES. HEASTON scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while KARNES scored 27 points along with five assists and five rebounds. BEN HEASTON was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two steals and two blocks.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11. As for Northside L, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-4.

Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats will head out on the road to challenge KIPP Legacy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northside L's road trip will continue as they head out to face Benton HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Benton HomeSchool knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Northside L likes a good challenge.
