Volleyball Recap: Chico Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Chico lost against Pleasant Valley on October 7th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Vikings. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-9, 25-19.

Despite the defeat, Chico saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Naima Orozco had 15 digs and three assists. Orozco has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last three times she's played.

Pleasant Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Audrey Ferro led the charge by getting four digs and two aces.

Chico now has a losing record of 15-16. As for Pleasant Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 24-13 record this season.

Chico will host Corning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pleasant Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
