Basketball Recap: Covenant Christian Takes a Loss

Covenant Christian lost against Wilson last Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Covenant Christian Eagles were dealt a 42-11 loss at the hands of the Wilson Warriors. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Covenant Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Wilson, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Sheffield at 5:45 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Wilson will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Rogers at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
