Volleyball Recap: Deweyville Takes a Loss

Deweyville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hudson Hornets. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hornets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

Deweyville's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Hudson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Deweyville will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Kirbyville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hudson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Anahuac on the 16th.
