Baseball Recap: Old Town's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

Old Town fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Mount Desert Island on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Coyotes' first of the season.

Old Town saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Closson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Closson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Jackson Brawn also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Old Town fell to 3-1. As for Mount Desert Island, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Old Town and Mount Desert Island will both be playing Hermon the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Coyotes will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
