Football Game Preview: St. Mary's Pirates vs. South Park Burros + Official Tickets

St. Mary is a perfect 3-0 against South Park since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Pirates will be playing in front of their home fans against the Burros at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for St. Mary's and three for South Park.

On Friday, St. Mary's lost to Simla at home by a 54-38 margin. The Pirates were down 54-26 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Defeat or not, St. Mary's got some senior leadership from Michael Trechter and Jackson Beam. Trechter threw for 341 yards and six touchdowns, while Beam picked up 177 receiving yards and three scores. Those 177 receiving yards set a new season-high mark for Beam.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for South Park's offense. They had to suffer through a 72-0 loss at the hands of Calhan.

South Park's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for St. Mary's, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
