Soccer Recap: Oak Ridge Takes a Loss

Oak Ridge and Colonial pushed the score to 6-3 the last time they played Colonial, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Pioneers fell just short of the Grenadiers by a score of 1-0. If Oak Ridge were looking for revenge after losing 6-3 to Colonial when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Colonial, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-6.

Oak Ridge wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-0 victory against Lake Buena Vista on the 9th. As for Colonial, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Boone at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Colonial are facing Boone at the right time seeing as Boone are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
