Andover extended the longest winning streak in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II this week by beating Newton, 36-34. This was the team's ninth consecutive win.
The Lions' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Maruo chipped in 108 yards.
Maruo was a passing and rushing force as Goddard beat the Tigers.
Maruo was the most successful running back in the league this week. Teammate Kyle Young added to the ground attack by rushing for 88 yards.
Central's Blake Meier and Ryan Banwart have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Meier has thrown for 1,517 yards this season, while Banwart has 26 catches for 487 yards. Scott Vang's team's Tucker Vang leads the league in rushing yards with 597.
A big matchup in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II this week will be when Andover takes on Central. Mike Lee's team is in first place, while the Mustangs are in third place.
