Basketball Recap: Mountain View Wildcats vs. Brooke Point Black Hawks

The Mountain View Wildcats came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They skirted past Brooke Point 39-36. This was payback for Mountain View, who suffered a 41-39 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Brooke Point still got an impressive performance from Antoinette Sanusi, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Sanusi also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Rinyah Jarrett was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Even though they lost, Brooke Point smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

The victory got Mountain View back to even at 9-9. As for Brooke Point, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Mountain View won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. Courtland has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6. As for Brooke Point, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Colonial Forge will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
