The Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes will head out on the road to take on the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Cape Fear Academy sitting on three straight victories and Wake Christian Academy on 12.

Cape Fear Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past Coastal Christian 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hurricanes have posted since September 11th.

Cape Fear Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 14-25, 26-24, 26-24, 15-13.

Cape Fear Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lila Hammer, who had 16 assists and 13 digs. Hammer is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 31 games she's played dating back to last season.

Cape Fear Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces every time they've taken the court this season.
