Basketball Recap: Community Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Community Christian Academy was the 67-63 winner over Byne Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles took a 75-58 bruising from the Saints on Tuesday.

When it comes to explaining why Community Christian Academy lost, don't look at Kylin McDonald. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 28 points and 12 boards. McDonald has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last eight times he's played. Another player making a difference was Thomas Hadley, who posted ten points and six boards.

Byne Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Howard, who went 9-for-14 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Skelley, who shot 43% from the field on his way to 15 points and six boards.

Community Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Byne Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
