Marvin Ridge waltzed into their match on Friday with 20 straight wins... but they left with 21. They came out on top against the D.H. Conley Vikings by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Mavericks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Marvin Ridge might've won, it sure wasn't easy: D.H. Conley scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 25-22.

Natalie Unkrich paced Marvin Ridge's offense, picking up 16 kills. Unkrich got some help from Jillian Young and her 37 assists. Unkrich was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Marvin Ridge's win bumped their record up to 32-2. As for D.H. Conley, they moved to 26-3 with that loss, which also ended their eight-match winning streak.
