Volleyball Recap: Deer Park Comes Up Short

Deer Park lost against Klein back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Deer took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bearkats. The Deer have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alixandra Klein paced Deer Park's offense, picking up seven kills. Klein got some help from Emma Hooks and her 16 assists. Hooks also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Audrina Silva, racking up two apiece.

Deer Park's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Klein, their win bumped their record up to 8-5.

Coming up, Deer Park will take on Dawson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Klein, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Kingwood on the 21st.
