Basketball Recap: Inman Takes a Loss

Inman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. The contest between them and the Nickerson Panthers didn't end well, with the Inman Inman Teutons falling 60-44.

Garrett Crossman was a one-man wrecking crew for Nickerson as he went 6 of 13 en route to 18 points and three steals. The dominant performance gave Crossman a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex King, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and five rebounds.

Inman's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Nickerson, with the victory, they broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-9.

Inman and Nickerson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings. Inman (ranked 301st) will meet Classical (ranked 108th) at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Nickerson will square off against Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 256 places (286 vs. 30).
