Softball Game Preview: Clear Fork Colts vs. Highland Fighting Scots

For the second straight game, Clear Fork will face off against Highland. The Colts will square off against the Fighting Scots at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Clear Fork's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three games.

On Tuesday, Clear Fork got the win against Highland by a conclusive 10-1. Considering the Colts have won ten matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Miley Shafer was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Shafer was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mya Perry, who went 1-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Presley Lilly, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Clear Fork is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Highland, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-9.
