Basketball Recap: Concordia Takes a Loss

Concordia lost against Nemaha Central back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Concordia Panthers took a 57-38 bruising from the Nemaha Central Thunder. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Thunder are ranked 43rd).

Concordia has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. The victory made it two in a row for Nemaha Central and bumps their season record up to 13-6.

Coming up, Concordia will head out on the road to square off against Abilene at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Concordia is facing Abilene at the right time seeing as Abilene is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Nemaha Central, they will square off against Sabetha on Monday.
