Baseball Recap: Merced Takes a Loss

Merced was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to the Buhach Colony Thunder. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Thunder this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-7 last Monday.

Bryce Jimenez was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Merced's loss dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Buhach Colony, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-13-1.

While Merced had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
