Recap: Oakland Wildcats vs. McClymonds Warriors

The Oakland Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 57-49 win over McClymonds. That's another feather in the cap for Oakland, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Oakland found their leader in underclassman Rohm Neal, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Neal scored 15 or more points. Isaac Johnson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds.

Despite the loss, McClymonds still got an impressive performance from Devon Mack, who scored 22 points.

Oakland is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for McClymonds, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on January 12th. Skyline will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 629th, while Oakland is ranked 146th). As for McClymonds, they will be playing at home against Fremont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
