Softball Recap: Moon Valley Comes Up Short

Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 25-3 to the Thunderbird Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 last Tuesday.

Vida Cedillo was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Moon Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Thunderbird, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moon Valley will head out to challenge Paradise Honors at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Paradise Honors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Moon Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Thunderbird, they will venture away from home to take on Deer Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. Deer Valley's pitching crew has only allowed 2.4 runs per game this season, so Thunderbird's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
