Volleyball Recap: Mackenzie Gabriel Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Falmouth + How To Watch

Bridgewater-Raynham took a three-set loss the last time they faced off against Falmouth, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Clippers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since September 15th.

Bridgewater-Raynham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 15-25, 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-11.

Bridgewater-Raynham's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MacKenzie Gabriel, who had nine kills, nine digs, and two aces. Those nine kills gave Gabriel a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carly Cash, who had 11 kills, five digs, and five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Bridgewater-Raynham was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Bridgewater-Raynham's record now sits at 5-11. As for Falmouth, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
