Soccer Game Preview: Georgetown vs. Terry

The Georgetown Eagles will face off against the Terry Rangers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Georgetown sitting on three straight wins and Terry on six.

Georgetown is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin a 4-0 shutout. The victory was all the more spectacular given Georgetown's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 305th, while Liberal Arts & Science Academy - Austin are ranked 144th).

Meanwhile, Terry got the win against Waltrip on Friday by a conclusive 6-3. The result was nothing new for Terry, who have now won ten games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Waltrip with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Runyambo Muco (3), Samir Mohammad Nasim (2), and Alexis Soto Ochoa.

Terry's win bumped their record up to 19-1-2. As for Georgetown, they now have a winning record of 12-11-2.

Georgetown skirted past Terry 1-0 in their previous meeting back in January of 2019. Will Georgetown repeat their success, or does Terry has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
