Gardendale had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Oneonta Redskins a 4-0 shutout. Considering Gardendale have won eight contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Gardendale's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those three matches. As for Oneonta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
