Volleyball Game Preview: Crab Orchard Trojans vs. Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes

The Crab Orchard Trojans will challenge the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crab Orchard has five straight wins, Zeigler-Royalton has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Crab Orchard earned a 2-0 victory over Thompsonville.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Crab Orchard was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 26-13.

Meanwhile, Zeigler-Royalton came up short against Wayne City on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-19.

Zeigler-Royalton's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Crab Orchard, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Crab Orchard couldn't quite get it done against Zeigler-Royalton in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 2-0. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
