The Gainesville Hurricanes will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against the North Marion Colts at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Gainesville is headed out to face North Marion after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Hurricanes enjoyed a cozy 65-48 win over North Florida Educational Institute on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, North Marion had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They claimed a resounding 55-28 victory over West Port.

Gainesville was able to grind out a solid win over North Marion in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 63-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
