Quabbin Regional has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.56 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They lost 11-2 to the Oakmont Regional Spartans. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Quabbin Regional's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Oakmont Regional, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quabbin Regional will face off against Lunenburg at 2:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Oakmont Regional, they will challenge Northbridge at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
