Basketball Recap: Lingle-Fort Laramie Continues Home Dominance on Saturday

Lingle-Fort Laramie had won 13 straight home games dating back to last season and Jordynn Speckner did her part to make it 14 on Saturday. The Lingle-Fort Laramie Doggers enjoyed a cozy 44-27 victory over the HEM Miners thanks in part to Speckner, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Afton Schilreff was another key player, putting up six points and three steals. Those six points gave her a new career-high.

Lingle-Fort Laramie's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for HEM, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.

Lingle-Fort Laramie will square off against Southeast at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for HEM, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Rock River at 3:30 p.m.
