Football Recap: Sparkman Victorious + How To Watch

Sparkman's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took down the Albertville Aggies 45-27. The victory continues a trend for the Senators in their matchups with the Aggies: they've now won six in a row.

Braylon Lawson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 196 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those 196 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Zayden Bodner did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 81 receiving yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sparkman was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Sparkman didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jaire Haynes and Kirlando Ayers. Blake Battle was another major factor on D, making 17 total tackles and defending one pass.

When it comes to explaining why Albertville lost, don't look at Brandt Sweatt. Despite the final result, he picked up 150 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Another player making a difference was CJ Zuniga, who threw for 156 yards and two TDs.

Sparkman's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Albertville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Sparkman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 36-28 victory against Huntsville on the 19th. As for Albertville, they have also already played their next game, a 23-14 loss against Austin on the 19th.
