Football Game Preview: Locust Grove vs. Sequoyah

On Friday Sequoyah take on Locust Grove at 7:00 PM. Coming off of a loss in a game they were expected to win, Sequoyah now face the more daunting task of proving themselves against unfavorable odds.

Sequoyah ended up a good deal behind Miami when they played last week, losing 13-30.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove ran circles around Adair, and the extra yardage (582.1 yards vs. 110.3 yards) paid off. Everything went Locust Grove's way against Adair as the team secured a 59-16 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-8.

Locust Grove's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Sequoyah's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. In their victory, Locust Grove relied heavily on junior Caden Bendabout, who passed for 270 yards and 3 touchdowns; a key strategy for Sequoyah will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
