Football Recap: Kawann Johnson Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Northridge + How To Watch

McAdory hadn't beaten Northridge on the road since September 7, 2018 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Yellowjackets came out on top against the Jaguars by a score of 33-24. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won three in a row.

McAdory's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kawann Johnson, who rushed for 134 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Another player making a difference was Justin Patton, who rushed for 67 yards and one touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: McAdory was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 334 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 212 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

McAdory didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Braylon Glover, Dedrick Scott, and Caleb Gosha picked up one apiece. Gosha is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

McAdory's record now sits at 3-0. As for Northridge, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coincidentally, McAdory and Northridge will both be playing Brookwood the next time they take the field. The Jaguars will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Yellowjackets will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 19th.
