With a playoff win on the line, Spring Valley rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clark Chargers, sneaking past 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Grizzlies in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won eight in a row.

Sophie Bowmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up ten Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Aubree Holcombe, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Addyson La Frenais was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Clark, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-12.

Spring Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-7 win against Southeast Career Tech on the 7th. As for Clark, they will welcome Silverado at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Skyhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.5 runs per game on average), something the Chargers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
