Basketball Recap: Daiton Williams' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Doral Academy Red Rock over Sports Leadership & Management

Doral Academy Red Rock fought the good fight in their overtime game against Sports Leadership & Management on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Sports Leadership & Management Bulls by a score of 60-57. The Dragons just can't catch a break and have now endured ten defeats in a row.

Doral Academy Red Rock lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Daiton Williams, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 11 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Another player making a difference was Brennan Cuello, who went 7-for-15 on his way to 17 points.

Sports Leadership & Management's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damien Nevil, who went 6-for-15 en route to 16 points and eight boards. Nevil is becoming a predictor of Sports Leadership & Management's success: when he posts at least eight rebounds the team is undefeated (and 2-12 when he doesn't). Amin Kimbal also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

Doral Academy Red Rock's loss dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their record is now 7-12.
