Volleyball Recap: Fort Lupton Takes a Loss

Fort Lupton suffered their biggest defeat since November 9, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Roosevelt Roughriders, falling 3-0. The Bluedevils were not able to make up for their loss to the Roughriders from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-10, 25-9.

Kyleigh Taylor paced Fort Lupton's offense, picking up five kills. Taylor were helped by Daniela Gutierrez and Genesis Diaz, who contributed four assists each.

Roosevelt's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kinsey Wells led the charge by getting four aces and three digs. Wells is also crushing it when it comes to assists: she's posted at least 16 every time she's taken the court this season. Reese Pope was another key player, getting 11 digs and two assists.

Fort Lupton's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Roosevelt, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4.

Fort Lupton has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Loveland on the 3rd. As for Roosevelt, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Prairie View on the 3rd.
