Football Game Preview: Yakama Nation Tribal Eagles vs. Sunnyside Christian Knights

Yakama Nation Tribal is 0-8 against Sunnyside Christian since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will head out to face off against the Knights at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Yakama Nation Tribal's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against DeSales on Friday. They were beaten by the Irish 62-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Irish are ranked fourth).

Meanwhile, Sunnyside Christian played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 60-8 loss at the hands of Liberty Christian. The Knights have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Yakama Nation Tribal's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sunnyside Christian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-3.

Yakama Nation Tribal was taken down by Sunnyside Christian 44-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
